Hanover, New Hampshire
A bedrock spine of abnormal hardness and topography crosses the site below this building, complicating the foundations and first floor construction. Numerous slab regions compose the first floor’s multifaceted studios before the building wraps a three-story art forum, promoting interdisciplinary interactions. Light pours in through windows, skylights and multistory lanterns showcasing concrete topping slabs that are conduits between the studios, offices, screening rooms and exhibition spaces.
