WORK
Dudley Square Police Station
Boston, Massachusetts

The multistory glass lobby, the perimeter clerestory and the elegantly tapered roof soffit projection reaching out over the adjacent sidewalk are among the striking architectural features of this police station. Less obvious is the programmatic flexibility made possible by the structural system. Anticipating the future needs of law enforcement, an innovative eccentric brace system was employed to allow the station to transform its interior in response to future needs.
