LeMessurier was engaged to develop an alternative structural system for this 682-foot tall, 53-story reinforced concrete structure. Our unique design, which linked the interior concrete shear walls to the exterior concrete frame via a creative system of outrigger beams, proved more economical than the local engineer’s more conservative approach. Through our detailed studies and guidance, the local engineer implemented the alternative structural system saving both time and money.
