Boston, Massachusetts
At the south terminus of the MBTA’s Orange Line, Forest Hills acts as a hub for train and bus lines. Connecting the City’s subway system with the Arnold Arboretum in Jamaica Plain, Forest Hills is a transition point from urban transportation to Boston’s more bucolic surroundings. The station itself is dominated by glass, allowing sunlight to fill the station from the roof all the way to the platform. Passengers are welcomed with rays of light while leaving the train after a ride from downtown.
