WORK
Government Service Center
Boston, Massachusetts

As one of the first installations of Boston’s Government Center master plan, this urban mental treatment facility took the ornate stairways and moved them outside the building envelope, creating an intricate façade not typically seen in cast-in-place construction. Of the same vintage as the Hurley Building and City Hall, the Lindemann Mental Health Center stands apart with its non-rectilinear forms, and its architectural exposed concrete aggregates.
