The inaugural LeMessurier project still functions in its original capacity: home to Dartmouth’s indoor track and field facilities. Interlaced concrete ribs form the vaulted long span barrel roof that has seen some of the most extreme snow events in history. The structure springs from grade along each side, rising above the track creating an entirely uninhibited space for the athletes to perform. From inception, LeMessurier set the precedent of lasting structural design.
