TD Garden - New East Ramp
01.31.14 As part of the ongoing redevelopment of the North Station region of Boston, the TD Garden has added a second drive-access portal to the underground parking garage. To accomplish this, the ramp is supported on 100-year-old timber piles, which previously supported a brick building. Additionally, a corner column of the TD Garden had to be cut and transferred to allow the drive access to pass beneath the existing column. LeMessurier participated in all phases of the project from reusing the timber piles, to the temporary underpinning and permanent re-situating of the Garden’s corner column, the removal of a handful of existing below-grade columns and overcoming several found conditions. Coupled with the Nashua Street tower project, we are pleased to play such an active role in the revitalization of this historic Boston neighborhood.
