Post Office Square
Boston, Massachusetts

Beginning as the square’s anchor, One Post Office Square was completed with fanfare owing to its height as well as its many stepped corners. A 1980s renovation of the Meridian Hotel furthered PO Square as a commercial center. Reclaiming the square, a parking garage was razed and moved below grade, allowing a peaceful garden and park amid the bustle of the city, a major boon to this city block. In 2010, a modern multi-story glass lobby wall was erected along the Congress Street entrance.
