Boston, Massachusetts
The five-story expansion of glass and metal panel contrasts with the bulkier shape of the existing structure and extends to the street level allowing daylight to penetrate the facility. Housing two clinical patient floors, a simulation lab and teaching facilities for students, and administrative offices, the addition meets the campus needs. A pile cap exploration regimen along with numerous lateral analyses, informed an optimized layout of new columns supported by the existing structure.
