Singapore Treasury Building

The tallest cylindrical tower in the world, the AXA tower delivers 360-degree panoramic views of Singapore at every level. The simple, yet elegant structural solution to achieve unobstructed views was to cantilever radial beams at every floor from an inner cylindrical concrete wall enclosing the elevator core. Steel ties concealed in the curtain wall reduce relative deflections between floors while a continuous perimeter ring truss limits deflections at the cantilever ends.
