LeMessurier’s 245 Beacon Street at Boston College project was awarded the Engineering News-Record – New England’s Best Project of 2022 in the Higher Education/Research category. The 150,000 sf building designed by Payette is home to the Schiller Institute for Integrated Science and Society, whose researchers use science and technology to solve society’s most pressing challenges while educating future leaders in the field of science. The facility includes laboratory space, cleanrooms, classrooms, maker spaces, offices, and common areas for interdisciplinary collaboration.
Project partners include Payette, Suffolk Construction, and BR+A Consulting Engineers.
