News: LeMessurier Contributes to Three Award-Winning Projects at the 2026 Massachusetts Preservation Awards

Jun 25, 2026

On June 11th, members of the LeMessurier team attended the Preservation Massachusetts 2026 Historic Preservation Awards Ceremony at Fenway Park at the 521 Overlook. Celebrating outstanding achievements in historic preservation across the Commonwealth, the evening brought together preservationists, architects, engineers, owners, contractors, and advocates in an atmosphere that felt both festive and meaningful. This year’s theme, “Preservation is Revolutionary,” was reflected throughout the evening, fostering optimism and emphasizing the building appetite for preservation.

LeMessurier contributed to three of the projects recognized for their commitment to preserving and revitalizing some of Massachusetts’ most significant historic places: Graves Hall at Phillips Academy, Wadsworth House at Harvard University, and the Child Fountain Restoration at the Boston Public Garden.

The Paul & Niki Tsongas Award, Preservation Massachusetts’ highest honor, recognizes exceptional commitment to historic preservation, and the 2026 recipient was Graves Hall at Phillips Academy. Working with Annum Architects, LeMessurier provided enclosure consulting services focused on window replacement and envelope preservation from the initial assessment through project completion.

Over at Harvard University, the Wadsworth House Renovation received the 2026 Robert H. Kuehn, Jr. Award, honoring innovative rehabilitation projects that combine creative solutions with strong collaborative partnerships. LeMessurier provided structural engineering services to Perry and Radford Architects, collaborating with the project team to preserve and enhance the historic structure while meeting modern occupancy and use requirements.

Finally, the Child Fountain Restoration at the Boston Public Garden received the 2026 Frederick Law Olmsted Award, recognizing excellence in the preservation of cultural and historic landscapes. Here, we worked with Halvorson, a studio within Tighe & Bond, to restore this cherished landmark, contributing to the preservation of one of Boston’s most iconic public spaces.

Their collective efforts demonstrate the lasting value of preservation and the important role historic places continue to play in our communities.
