LeMessurier recently attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony for 400 Summer Street in Boston’s Seaport District, celebrating the city’s first air rights development since the iconic Copley Place shopping center was built in 1983. This landmark project, a collaboration with Morris Adjmi Architects, Stantec, and Suffolk Construction, resulted in a 630,000-square-foot laboratory building that will serve as the new headquarters for Foundation Medicine, a global leader in cancer genomics.
The 16-story building, spearheaded by WS Development, not only introduces a state-of-the-art facility to Boston’s skyline but also establishes a vital pedestrian connection between Summer and Congress Streets. This marks a significant phase in the transformative 33-acre Boston Seaport District development plan.
