Vanderbilt University’s Owen Graduate School of Management recently celebrated a ribbon-cutting for their renovated and expanded Management Hall. This project transforms Management Hall with a 48,000 sf addition, expanding the business school’s space by 50% and providing an outward-focused front door to the Nashville community.
Located along 21st Avenue, the tight site and ambitious program required the upper floor of the building to cantilever over the existing building by 20 feet. The fourth floor above the existing building hangs from a series of propped cantilever beams at the roof, strategically located between classrooms. Management Hall now boasts a new building entrance, flexible classrooms, collaboration spaces, a multipurpose room, office space and an outdoor deck on the new fourth floor.
