Modern Steel Construction - Braced Frame Ductility
02.05.16 Eric Hines has co-authored a new article - in collaboration with Tufts University and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champagne - in the February 2016 issue of the American Institute of Steel Construction's monthly Modern Steel Construction. Titled, Ductility in Moderation, the article focuses on full-scale testing of steel concentrically braced frames. The Leers Weinzapfel designed Dudley Square Police Station serves as a case study of an as-built structure contemplating the assumed and real effects of frame ductility.
