Princeton University Racquet Center
The Princeton Racquet and Recreation Fieldhouse provides a state-of-the-art home for the University’s squash and tennis programs while expanding recreational opportunities for the broader campus community. Located within the new Princeton Meadows neighborhood, the facility serves as an active campus hub that supports athletics, wellness, and student life.
The sports complex is composed of three interconnected structures that together create a cohesive and flexible recreational destination.
- The Wilkinson Fitness Center, with exposed steel framing, serves as the primary entry to the complex and houses the main lobby, strength and training facilities, and administrative spaces.
- The Si Qin Family Tennis Center features long-span steel bents spanning up to 130 feet and accommodates nine tennis courts, fourteen squash courts, and two glass-walled exhibition squash courts. A mezzanine running the length of the facility provides spectator seating, and the building is designed to support a variety of rigging configurations for large-scale events.
- The Connector is primarily below grade and links the two main volumes. It contains varsity locker rooms, a student lounge, and concessions. An upper-level circulation spine connects spectator areas between venues and supports a landscaped green roof that creates an outdoor courtyard.
