Graves Hall
Constructed in 1883 as a science facility and later transformed into and serving as Phillips Academy's music center for over a century, Graves Hall now hosts administrative functions. LeMessurier conducted a comprehensive assessment of the building envelope to guide this adaptive reuse.
Through a detailed investigation, our team distinguished between envelope components requiring replacement and those demonstrating continued structural integrity worthy of preservation.
Enclosure Assessment: Our evaluation systematically documented the condition of existing envelope components, identifying elements requiring replacement and highlighting robust assemblies suitable for retention.
Design Consultation: As peer reviewers, we provided expert guidance on roof maintenance protocols, historically compatible window specifications, and architectural elements for a new vestibule design.
